Well, I survived. I was a little worried about the day, but all went well for my class. Today was the dreaded H1N1 vaccination clinic at my school. The teachers had to take the students who signed up for the FREE shot down to the library and watch them get the shot. It was really hard to watch some of my squirming kids held down as they were given the shot. Even worse when they added screaming and crying to the mixture. But all in all my class did pretty good. Only 3 of 8 or so cried. It was hard to be calm to get my shot after all the screams and struggles, but I did it.
One student got the nose mist. This is what he said to me afterwards, "Mrs. Cobabe, that nose thing didn't even hurt. It just smelled like flowers". I am so glad a spray in your nose didn't hurt! I thought it was pretty entertaining!
All in all I am glad it is over, but too bad I will repeat the same thing in a few weeks for the 2nd dose of the shot.
In other news I am taking the Praxis on Saturday to see if I can get my Level 2 teaching license. Any prayers on my behalf would be greatly appreciated because if you didn't know I am a worrier and will probably not sleep until Saturday night this week! Andrew is applying for internships, so hopefully someday we will know where we are going. He is really enjoying the balance aspect of Audiology so we are hoping he gets to do something with that.
I am stoked for Thanksgiving and can't wait to be in Eagar (the drive is another story, but I think we will survive it!)

Happy Halloween!
Isn't this "Incredible?" Here is Andrew's awesome jack-o-lantern. We made them last night and have loved having them lit up on our porch. What can we say, Andrew has got mad pumpkin carving skills.
Here is my jack-o-lantern. I chose something a little easier, but I was very happy at how awesome Elmo looks on a pumpkin!
If you love The Office then you love our costumes. It was so fun to be our favorite TV characters and I even got recognized as Pam by some random man at the grocery store. As I walked by he yelled out "Hey, it is Pam!" I felt like a superstar!
Here is 3-hole punch Jim. Andrew has got the Jim face down.
Here is Pam Beasley with her silver Yoplait Olympic medal. We wore these costumes to Lissy and Tyler's for a little Halloween fun. They made delicious soup and we just love sitting around and chatting with them. We are so glad they moved back to Cache Valley!
Last but not least, here is the costume I wore to school on Friday. This was the first year in a while that my school let the kids dress up. It was such a fun day. We had lots of Halloween activities and some of the best costumes. There were many vampires (thank you Twilight), Spidermen, Superman, Ninja Turtle, Tooth Fairy, Wolfman and my personal favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer! My costume was very fun and the kids loved it. So without further ado,
I was Hannah Banana! The kids loved it. After we took this picture I added a Chiquita Banana sticker so it wasn't so questionable about what I was for Halloween. It has been a really fun Halloween. One of the best that I have had in a few years. Definitely better than last year, at least I was healthy and well! We hope everyone else had an enjoyable holiday as well. I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving and hanging out with my family. Hopefully November will move just as fast as October did!

Dinner for Two
Here is dear sweet Andrew. I came home yesterday from school and was beat. It has been a while since I have had to work 5 days in a row with students there! So, I came home and said, "Can you please make me dinner?" A little background knowledge about this, Andrew is kind of a random eater. When we first started dating he made me breakfast, eggs, cereal, banana. Random. Anyways, here is what he started pulling out for dinner last night.
Homemade salsa, chips, apple crisp and his favorite fruit snacks. Can you say well balanced diet? I thought it was humorous and so I took a picture to share with all of you.
We are enjoying our Saturday a little too much by sleeping in, watching Myth Busters, making more apple crisp and going to a BBQ and to watch the Cougars tonight at Spencer and Nikki's.
Happy Blessing Day tomorrow little Elliot! We wish you lived closer so we could come, but we can't wait to meet you in November!

Meant to take pictures
Well, it has been an eventful weekend for us. First of all, I enjoyed being lazy for UEA this week. I had Wed, Thurs, and Fri off and just was lazy trying to get over whatever new sickness I have. On Tuesday I lost my voice for a little while and one of my students from last year was talking to me and said, "Mrs. Cobabe, your voice is changing."
Friday we drove the 4 hours down to Provo (now usually it should only take 2 hours at the most to get down to Provo, but being so lucky we got stuck in the worst traffic ever!) to go to the BYU vs. USU game. Andrew pretends he has a hard time deciding who to cheer for, but I remind him who is better ;). We enjoyed sitting with the Tingeys and watching BYU beat the Aggies. It was a good game and I really loved being back in the stadium. Hopefully we can make it a tradition to go to BYU football games. We will see where our life takes us.
We stayed at the Cobabe's Friday night and enjoyed the morning conference session with them. Holly made some delicious homemade chicken noodle soup and rolls for lunch. Then we came home and lazed around Saturday afternoon. Andrew went to Priesthood session with Tyler and his brother and I watched random things on the internet. We found a web page that is basically cable TV. You click on all these random shows and watch whatever you want. I watched Cinderella, Boy Meets World, The Flinstones, etc. I was very lazy, but oh well. Then we ate popcorn and watched Spiderman 2.
Today we enjoyed being inside (it was cold and rainy) and watching conference. Then we went to visit my friend Katie and her sweet little girl. She has so much hair! I am just not used to it. Babies in my family never have hair!
I enjoyed conference and really love listening to our leaders. They always say what I need to hear. I loved how Elder Eyring talked about our path to perfection. It is true that we are not even close to there, it really helped me listen closely and learn what I need to do better so I can get there someday! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Sorry no pictures, I will have some soon.

Domestic Me
Thank you to my friend Jen Green I now know how to make bread. It was so fun to learn and get little secrets. I remember my mom always trying to teach me to make bread and I would never listen. Now I realize that some skills in the kitchen are helpful. I did take pictures but my computer didn't like them so sorry, maybe next time.
Parent/Teacher conferences are coming and that is always a high stress time. Hopefully I will survive. My kids are getting better at listening and following directions (sometimes). I hope that will continue.
Andrew if feeling the crunch of the last year (of classes). He is hoping to find more hours in the day to accomplish all the tasks he needs to. We are looking forward to the BYU vs. Florida game this Saturday.
Ra-Ra-Ra ra ra GOooooo Cougars!

Labor Day and Randomness
I am getting better at updating more regularly! I think I am finally figuring out my life a little bit! Anyways, Andrew and I had a very nice Labor Day weekend. On Saturday we enjoyed watching the BYU football game at Lissy and Tyler's. They were nice enough to let us bombard their home so Andrew could watch his cougs. We are very glad they are living here again! Sunday was a lazy day, Andrew taught the Elder's Quorum lesson and we enjoyed a few Sunday naps! Monday I decided that I wanted to go on a picnic before it was too late. So here we are enjoying a nice relaxing picnic.
Then it was off to the driving range!I know, it was a nice shot!
Andrew is becoming quite the golfer. He was giving me all kinds of pointers. I am not very good and my body isn't used to using the "golf muscles" so I get tired easily.
Now for the bit of randomness. I woke up this morning and I look out my bedroom window and see this. For those of you who don't know, our landlord raises ducks. We aren't sure why but we see them and what they leave for us everywhere. I thought it was so funny to see them perched on the fence this morning.
Hooray for updating more. I will try to stick with this new habit. Andrew is looking into getting internet in our home so that will help.

2 years and going strong!
Hooray for celebrating 2 years of marriage! It sure seems like a lot longer than that because we have been together for a long time. It was a very fun evening (I won't bore you with details of my day, some days are better than others). Andrew surprised me with this when I walked in the door.I was so excited! I have wanted one for quite some time especially now that my amazing friend Jen is going to teach me how to make bread! I can't even wait to use it (hopefully Thursday I will be able to squeeze some time in with my new toy!) We then enjoyed a candlelit dinner of Cafe Rio and sparkling cider followed by a Creamie and the movie 17 Again. We were very entertained by the movie, surprisingly enough.
Andrew has also recently made a decision and bought a computer. He is thrilled but still waiting for some software something (seems complicated to me) so he can download his new recording software. Here is his new baby.He also bought some new speakers and is bummed he has to go back to school and can't record all day. He started a clinic rotation at the IHC Hearing and Balance Center in Salt Lake so every Wednesday and Thursday he will be there. He is working hard on his final project and getting so excited to be almost done.
I have 23 lovely little students who keep me busy and love to share their germs. I am just barely getting over cold #1 and hoping to avoid every other sickness these children want to send my way. I have some real cute kids and also a lot of really chatty children. They are all wonderful and I am sure we will have a fun year. I wish I had some awesome quotes, but my brain isn't exactly working at full speed this week.
