One of my 5th grade students just informed me he is half robot. He said that when he learns he stores everything in his "memory" and that during his fraction test he forgot everything he had stored in his "memory" because his battery was low.
Well of course I asked how he charged his battery and he said that he had to eat normal things robots eat. So I suggested nails, screws, metal. No, of course not. He told me that he is a special robot that eats human food. He said, "Since I was born half robot I have always liked human food". Then he goes on to tell me about the delicious chicken sandwich he had today for lunch that really charged his battery.
For those of you who don't know how old 5th graders are they are about 11. So I thought this was an interesting tale to come from an 11 year old. Needless to say he was dead serious the whole time he was telling me this and I was baiting him to make the day a little more exciting. What a great teacher I am! ;)

My name is David Schwartz. You have an extraordinary husband. He is one of my favorites. Sometimes you meet people and they just stick with you. He taught me some pretty important lessons about life. Anyways, thought you might want to know. Tell him Hi for me. Sov som en groda.
Hannah....this is tacky and lame but I was wondering if you could give me your address? My mom is throwing a shower in Logan in a few and I wanted to invite you! My email is nikki.b.walsh@gmail.com.
That is awesome! I just love stories like that! Sounds like things are going well! Check us out at jordanandamywright.blogspot.com!
